I attended Cleveland High School and graduated in 1984. First, I attended St. Gregory's College and graduated with an Associates in Science in 1986. I then went for one year to Southwestern Oklahoma State University. I finally graduated with a degree in special education from Oklahoma State University in 1989.
I have certification to teach children with learning disabilities, emotional disturbances, and mental handicaps. I also have certification in intermediate math.
I have taught special education in the Dale School District for 23 years.
Before teaching in Dale, I taught in Porum, Oklahoma for one year. Then, I taught in OKC for two years: One year at Spencer Elementary and one year at Douglass High School.
I stay busy with church activities, book club, and Scouts. I enjoy reading and spending time with Austin, my nephew who is nine years old and in the fourth grade and my niece Savanna who is 11 and just started middle school. They attend school in Broken Arrow.
